Porsches Blast Down the Runway at 2019’s “Cars & Coffee”

Taking off took on a different meaning recently on the Mountain Air runway as Porsche drivers from three states visited for another “Cars & Coffee” event, sponsored by Porsche Asheville and the Mountain Air Property Owners Association. Getting things started was the scenic three-mile drive up Slickrock Mountain to the runway, situated at 4,600 feet above sea level. The Porsche group lined up their cars and enjoyed a morning outing with long-range views. The highlight for most was an opportunity to make a high-speed run down the runway, with several Mountain Air residents joining in the fun with their cars.
