The Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina are a wonder to behold. On any given hike or quiet drive down a country road or on the storied Blue Ridge Parkway you’ll be treated to waterfalls and mountain streams, and forests of pine teeming with wildlife. It’s even home to Mount Mitchell, offering the highest elevation east of the Mississippi River. With plenty of history, new discoveries, and four distinct seasons, there’s always a new adventure waiting to be discovered in this corner of the world we call home.
While you’ll never want for things to do and enjoy at home in Mountain Air, just outside the gates lies a region rich with possibilities. Several nearby North Carolina mountain towns are only a short drive away, waiting for you to discover their charms.
